Ghanem, to oversee development and philanthropic funding
Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health welcomes Jody Ghanem as a development director. A Las Vegas resident of 40 years, Ghanem, has been actively involved in the Las Vegas community including the arts and education —, formerly an advisory board member at The Smith Center, the revitalization of Downtown, UNLV, Reno Medical School, St Viator’s Foundation and the Meadows School. In her new role, Ghanem will oversee the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health’s philanthropic fundraising.
“We look forward to enhancing our philanthropy program under the direction of Jody,” said Larry Ruvo, Co-founder of Keep Memory Alive. “Not only has she been a known presence within the local community, she herself has been a caregiver and understands firsthand the significance of the work being done at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.”
Ghanem joins the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health after more than two years at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino where she served as player development executive. Utilizing her networking skills and strong community presence, she will be responsible for building on the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health’s philanthropy program, generating revenue and expanding the center’s support base.
“As a former caregiver to my grandmother who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, the mission of the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health is one that I hold near to my heart,” Ghanem said. “I’m incredibly honored to be spearheading the philanthropy program and look forward to playing a role in supporting the ground-breaking initiatives happening here that will no doubt impact the world.”
