Las Vegas HEALS (Health, Education, Advocacy and Leadership of Southern Nevada) is now accepting nominations for its annual “Inspired Excellence in Healthcare Awards,” one of the most prestigious community awards a physician or healthcare leader in Southern Nevada can receive. Inspired by the pioneer exploits of Dr. Royce W. Martin, Las Vegas’ first chief surgeon circa 1905, this annual award ceremony recognizes innovative leaders who ignite and inspire continued possibilities for healthcare excellence.
Nomination forms can be found at www.LasVegasHEALS.org/nominate We seek excellence in three key areas: Personal Accomplishments, Mentor/Innovator/Role Model examples, and Community/Professional leadership. The nomination process will close at 5:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2016. This year’s award gala will again be held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
“The caliber and diversity of leaders we recognize exemplify the excellent quality of care that is provided each and every day here in Southern Nevada,” said Ann Lynch, president of Las Vegas HEALS. “This year we will continue to recognize not only pioneering physicians but also innovative leaders in healthcare.”
Last year’s gala sold out with nearly 450 in attendance to honor Doctors Joseph Adashek, Desert Perinatal Associates; Rutu Ezhuthachan, United Healthcare; Mitchell Forman, Touro University; Oscar B. Goodman, Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada & Roseman University of Health Sciences ; David Steinberg, Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging; and Dylan Wint, Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
Previous recipients have included Doctors Howard Baron, Joel Bower, Jim Christensen, Michael Ciccolo, Jeffrey Cummings, Senator Joseph Hardy, Flip Homansky, Florence Jameson, Yevgeniy Khavkin, J.D. McCourt, Russell Nevins, Benjamin Rodriguez, Steven Thomas, and Nicholas Vogelzang.
