As every annual Keep Memory Alive “Power of Love” Gala draws to a successful close, founder Larry Ruvo starts to worry. Not just over the final money raised from ticket sales and auction bidding, which must fund the next 12 months of work, research and awareness projects of the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.
His fear also is, “How will we top that incredible night in 12 months?” He’ll fret again Saturday night at MGM Grand Garden Arena as the 90th birthday salute to Tony Bennett draws to a close. It’ll be a bigger concern in 2017 because it will be the 21st anniversary, and he knows that he’ll have to pull out all the stops to make it the best show to date.
