Doctors collects new wigs, scarves and hats for cancer patients and survivors
In partnership with the American Cancer Society, the Lanfranchi Center and Haydee Docasar RejuVAnation MD proudly accepts new wigs, scarves and hats on behalf of the Cancer Resource Center in support of current patients, survivors, and caregivers in Las Vegas & Henderson.
Drop off centers for the Cancer Resource Centers include:
- The Lanfranchi Center, located at 8985 S Eastern Ave #120, Las Vegas, NV, 89123 (Monday – Friday from 9a.m. – 5p.m.)
- Haydee Docasar RejuVAnation MD, located at 7997 W. Sahara, Suite #103, Las Vegas, NV 89117 (Monday – Friday from 8a.m. – 4p.m.)
In addition, both doctors are participating in the “Look Good, Feel Better” program by hosting sessions at each center (dates/times to be announced). The Look Good, Feel Better program is a community-based, free program that helps teach female cancer patients beauty tips to look better and feel good about how they look during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Volunteer beauty professionals lead small groups of patients through a practical, hands-on two-hour workshop in a comfortable setting where women can learn about makeup, skin care, nail care and ways to deal with hair loss such as with wigs, turbans, and scarves.
Dr. Lanfranchi hopes to collect head coverings available for all cancer patients this holiday season but plans to continue the support throughout the year. Says Dr. Paul Lanfranchi, “being able to be an additional resource to support people in need through this great organization is what it’s all about. We have a high volume of female clients who can relate to wanting to be the best version of themselves so we are hopeful this small yet significant role we play makes a powerful impact on those who need a little TLC”.
Says Dr. Haydee Docasar, “providing medical attention to all women through every stage of their lives is what’s important to me so when something as traumatic as cancer exists, finding a way to brighten someone’s day can make a big difference. It’s important that cancer survivors and patients know someone cares and we at Haydee Docasar RejuVAnation MD hope to make it possible for more people to show they care, too.”
